I am looking for advice on Yakima river guides. Any suggestions,
warnings? Looking to buy a one day float trip for a friend as a gift. Thanks ahead of time
for any tips.

| I have not actually taken a guided trip with him, but Steve Worley of
the Worley-Bugger fly-shop in Ellensburg runs one hell of an on-line business and is MORE
than happy to give lots of tips on fishing the river. I belong to his Bug of the Month
Club (good flies, great prices) but even before I joined he always returned my email
questions within a day and gave me more information than I asked for. If and when I take a
guided trip, it will be with him. Check out his site here by clicking on Flyshops, Guides
and Outfitters. On his link you'll find a FREE monthly update on the river (as well as
weekly reports) and I have learned a ton on-line. He believes that there are enough fish
in the river for everybody and is not shy about sharing the wealth of information he has
gained. Give him a try! |

| I wholeheartedly agree with Steve Malloch. So much so that I have a
guided trip planned on the Yak' with Steve Worley's outfit, Worley Bugger Fly Co., out of
Ellensburg, for this fall. He has consistently responded to all of my online inquiries and
I reference his Yakima River report every time I head to the river. |

| A buddy of mine and I floated with Steve Worley last April and had a
great time and learned a lot in the process. He knows the river and gave us the lowdown on
the upper river and the canyon and let us decide which we wanted to fish that day. At that
time he said fish were not coming to the top until about 2:00pm and sure enough we saw no
activity until 2:15 but than we saw plenty of action. Great guy and a great guide, gets my
recommendation. |

Thanks guys, I booked a trip with Steve
Worley, and I am sure my friends will be very happy. I should also mention
that he was very flexible in dealing with leaving an open date, and getting
me the information I needed to put in the gift envelope.
