WBFC CANCELLATION-RESCHEDULE POLICY

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and in accordance with Washington State Government policies, WBFC has made some changes to our company and guiding policies.  These new changes are outlined below in detail.  We appreciate you observing these new changes, so we may continue to operate our small business.

  •  At the time of booking, the total cost of your fly-fishing trip will be charged in full.  A Visa or MasterCard is required to book a day of fly fishing with the guide staff at WBFC.  This charge also includes a sales tax percentage charge of 8.2%.  Guide gratitiues can be included with your payment, upon your request at the time of booking or after your trip.

  • You are required to provide your own lunch and water for the day as well as a valid Washington State Fishing License.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we cannot provide any food or beverages at this time.

  • We also suggest bringing a Buff and sun-gloves to wear in the boat or to have on your person.  A pair of Polarized Fishing Glass are essential and necessary for eye protection as well as for fishing.

  • Hand Sanitizer or mild soap for hand washing and disinfecting.  WBFC Guide boats will be sanitized daily, before and after each guided fly-fishing trip.

  • The Guide Gratuity is not included in the cost of the trip.  If you would like to apply a tip to you credit card in advance instead of carrying cash, we can accommodate you with that.  Please let the booking staff know at the time of your reservation.

  • If you feel ill the day of your trip due to Covid-19 symptoms, please contact the fly shop or your guide immediately and cancel the trip.  You will be able to reschedule your fishing day at a later date, with no additional costs.

A valid, Washington State fishing license is required for each person fishing for the day, unless otherwise specified.  WBFC does not provide this item and is not a license dealer.  You can purchase the license directly on the your smart phone or pc if you prefer.  If that option is not available, you can visit a WDFW License dealer in your area and purchase the appropriate fishing license directly their.  A vehicle access pass or Discover Pass is required for the day at all WDFW and Washington State Park Lands, where your vehicle will be parked during your fishing day.  Please, make sure to purchase one of these passes as well and make sure it is in your vehicle the day of your trip.  If you do purchase a Washington resident license for the year, the Vehicle Access Pass accompanies the purchase and no further permits are required on your part.

WBFC RESCHEDULING POLICY:

WBFC offers the most exceptional fly-fishing services throughout Central Washington.  Our Professional Fly-Fishing staff,  has made a full-time career commitment to be qualified, professional and on time, the day of your trip.   Your WBFC Professional Fly-Fishing Guide, will be prepared the morning of your trip and provide each customer if needed, with gear, flies and professional advice to ensure that your day is successful and enjoyable.

Once your fly-fishing date has been booked, charged and confirmed, we do ask that you please try to keep that date reserved when all possiable.  When you schedule a WBFC Guide and boat for a day of fishing, that particular guide (s) is taken off of the open schedule, and held in advance for your party.  We are a small family-oriented business.  Reschedules and cancellations affect us greatly.

We do understand that dates will have to be rescheduled throughout the year and WBFC wants to make this procedure as fair as possiable for both parties.  Because of the employee time committment, energy and cost expenses that are required to book and reserve your trip with WBFC, a $100.00 Reschedule fee is required at this time, to modifiy your original fishing date and aquiring a new date with your guide.  This fee will be applied at the time of your rescheduling.  WBFC will allow you to reschedule your orginal date one time.  You are not permitted to reschedule the second date at any time.  You will have a full season to reschedule your guided fishing trip.  Guided trip fee’s will not be carried over to the following season.  If you do not reschedule within the same season, you will forfiet the entire fee.

WBFC CANCELATION POLICY:

Cancelling any fishing trips due to unforeseen circumstances can happen and is unfortunate for both parties. If you have to cancel your WBFC Fly Fishing trip, we ask that you do so with plenty of advance notice, so we can try to rebook your reserved guide with another party.  Below is an outline of the WBFC Cancellation Policy.

A full refund, minus a $100 processing fee will be given if your cancellation is made 14 days prior to trip.  If your trip is canceled within 14 days, you will forfeit your entire amount of the trip.

If for any reason you fail to show up the day of your tour without proper notice to WBFC, you will forfeit your costs of the trip as well as the entire day.  Worley Bugger Fly Co. and its professional guiding staff reserves this right in advance.

If you have received a WBFC Guided Trip Gift Certificate or a WBFC Customer Rewards Certificate for one of our fly fishing adventures, then the gift certificate is your deposit.  Please make sure to bring the original copy of your certificate the day of your trip.

Lund Pond Fly Fishing Trips

Lund Pond, is a small, privately owned fly fishing only pond located in Upper Kittitas County.  WBFC has been granted access to this family owned fly fishing facility and we use it exclusively to teach our Fly Fishing 201 Classes.  However, because of the size of the Rainbow trout in Lund Pond, even advanced fly fishers of every skill level find it a challenging expertise to catch and land a Lund Pond Rainbow.

Trout exceeding ten pounds are very common and to date the largest trout landed on a fly at Lund Pond is a whooping sixteen pounds.  There are also some large Brook Trout in the Lund Pond as well.  Lund Pond is feed by a natural, free flowing tributary of the Yakima River, which provides clean, clear water throughout the year as well as a valuable oxygen source.

Please contact the WBFC proshop directly to book your fishing day at Lund Pond.  A minimum of two fly fishers is required.  A float tube or pontoon boat is ideal for fishing here.  More information about Lund Pond Fly Fishing can be found here.

HALF DAY-ONLY TWO PERSON MINIUMUM
$225.00 per person

A Float tube, Pontoon Boat or small Drift Boat is ideal for fishing at Lund Pond.  There is some bank access to the pond as well as large dock to cast from.

If you are bringing your own boat for the day, proper safety floatation devices are required to have on your boat throughout the fishing experience.

Please contact us directly for available dates at Lund Pond.  The fishing pressure is controlled here and the pond is only available to fish 3-4 days per week.

Two Fishermen minimum is required with a total of 5 fishermen maximum at Lund Pond for the day.  A WDFW Fishing License is not required to fish at Lund Pond.

Wenatachee River Steelhead Fly Fishing Trips

I first read about fishing the Wenatchee River for summer steelhead from fly-fishing legends such as Bob Arnold and Steve Raymond. Reading their tales of swinging lightly dressed flies on floating lines for free rising autumn steelhead left a remarkable impression on my mind and a desire to fish it like the pioneers of the past.

Purchasing this trip online is not an option at this time.  This is a seasonal trip and the Wentachee River "only opens" under selective emergency opening.  The Wenatchee River does not open every year for Steelhead fishing either.  We would like to suggest that you contact the WBFC Proshop for more detailed information as well as reserving your day of fishing if you are interested in the Wentachee River.
