Steve Worley, Owner and Guide at WBFC in this video segment presents the "Shiva Stone Skwala" fly pattern.  The Skwala Stonefly hatch is the first big aquatic insect hatch of the new season across the waters of Central Washington's, Yakima River. The population of stonefly nymphs living in the waters of the river is prolific. The stonefly is built a bit differently to fish with the hook point riding up. Heavy lead eyes get it down in the cool waters of spring and fish have found it to their liking. This fly of course, can be tied in various sizes and colors to duplicate any stonefly hatch on western rivers that you may encounter along your fly fishing journey. Thanks for viewing and sharing.
