Steve Worley, Owner and Professional Fly Fishing Guide at WBFC shows you how to tie the "Frank's Big Hole Bugger".  Frank Stanchfield, owner and guide of Troutfitters in Wise River, Montana was well known throughout Southwest Montana and especially on the Big Hole River.  Frank tied these "Big Hole Buggers" exclusively in his small shop located on the banks of this great river.  I always found it a treat to visit his establishment and purchase the array of Buggers he was tying up.  I have caught large Brown Trout, Rainbows as well as Smallmouth Bass on his buggers throughout the years. The Wolly-Bugger is a popular pattern, however probably one of the most overlooked flies for fly fishing the rivers of Central Washington.

Unfortunately, Frank left this world in 2021.  We pay tribute in this video to his legacy and his love of fly fishing as well as the Big Hole River.  Rest in Peace. Thanks for viewing and sharing.
