Yakima River Caddis Hatch
The Yakima River Caddis hatch has arrived to the river early this year. The long awaited Mother' Day hatch is now in progress and is the thickest I have ever seen on the Yakima. The Caddis are now blooming at around noon and lasting the entire day. They are thicker in some sections and by evening the show is quite spectacular.
Be well prepared when you come to the river in different sizes and colors to match the variety of Caddis that are hatching. We are seeing Caddis in sizes 12 to 16 and ranging in colors from black, tan & olive.
