Montrose Colorado with the frame and spool

Granted, I
don’t believe they are a true large arbor as I think
they deserve a mid arbor classification. However,
this concept will allow anglers a bit more backing for
when that once in a lifetime trophy fish grabs your
fly, or if you just want a little more room for the
fly line and leader. The larger sizes
accommodate the much larger circumference of a spey
line with adequate room for backing storage. |

The CLA
reels are not heavy, but they do have some heft to
them. Meaning if you accidentally drop one, it
won’t need to be returned back to the factory for
repair. In the unlikely chance your CLA does need
repair, you’ll be glad to know it comes with an
unconditional lifetime guarantee, with a return from
Ross within two days of receiving it. |

They also
have people who answer the phone and deal with your
questions. Now that is customer service! In addition
to the black and slate grey colors, Ross is offering
the CLA in a new unique copper color in 2007. |

I own
several CLA models. The 1.5, 2, and 4
which I have been extremely pleased with.
The all around performance of the CLA series is in a
