Below you will find detailed descriptions of
each class, cost and the schedule for each. |

Class sizes are limited to (7) seven tiers
and payment must be made at the time of
registration. Popular classes we will
run again, so if you miss one, please check
with us and we can schedule another in the
immediate future. |

"CLASS
& WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS" |

|
Addict Pack:
If you know ahead of time you are a fly
tying addict and want to learn as much as
possible this is for you. For only $250 you
get access to every WBFC tying class or
seminar that will be offered in 2015. More
classes and seminars will be added
throughout the year as we can come up with
good options to teach people more about the
sport of fly fishing and fly tying. You can
be looking at saving at least $405 if you
attend all classes excluding Family Beginner
Class. |

“Bugger” Pack:
This pack is a great deal for people who
know they like tying and have an interest in
at least 4 of our tying classes excluding
the beginner class. For just $100 you
have access to 4 classes of your choosing
throughout the year. This means you can be
getting up to 50% off your class admission
fees right off the bat. |

Private Lessons:
Private lessons are available for those who
have very specific needs to would enjoy a
one on one tying experience. The topics
covered during private lessons are on a per
student basis as well as meeting times and
frequency.

Adult Beginner Class:
Learn the basic techniques required in
building your own flies! This class will
have a strong emphasis on learning
techniques rather than patterns specific for
certain fisheries and or fish. Throughout
the course you can expect to learn how to
use many different materials including
naturals and synthetics. You can also expect
to learn how to choose material to
accomplish your desired fly color, size or
function.
Tying techniques you can expect to learn are
how to start and finish thread, how to build
bodies, how to wing basic dry flies and how
to prep materials. Other introductory
teachings will be included depending on the
pace of the class. Materials, loaner tools
and vice provided during class times if
needed.
Price: $100.00 per student with 6, 2 hour
sessions = $8.33 per class hour |

Family Beginner Class:
Learn the basics of fly tying in a fun and
kid friendly atmosphere, this class is
perfect for families with children under the
age of 12 that want to learn how to tie
flies that they can immediately catch fish
on in local ponds and streams. Students can
expect to learn how to tie two or three of
the best fish catching patterns.
Students can also expect to learn how to
start and finish thread and attach materials
to the hook in the proper order to build
flies. Materials and loaner tools and vice
provided during class hours.
Price: $35 per student with 2 1.5 hour

Marabou Class:
In this class students can expect to learn a
variety of uses for marabou. From tails to
accents this class will teach a wide variety
of ways to take your flies to the next
level.
Material prep and techniques using the
material will be the main points of this
class. Materials and loaner tools and vice
provided during class hours.

Steelhead Nymph Class:
In this class Students can expect to learn
4-6 patterns with many additional variations
on popular fish catching steelhead NYMPHS,
this class will be centered on tying
complete flies to catch steelhead on
Columbia Tributaries. No swinging flies will
tied during this class.

Bass Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
several patterns to catch both smallmouth
and largemouth bass. Be prepared to tie some
BIG BUGS!!!!! This class will emphasize
complete patterns rather than techniques.

Skwala Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
both adult and immature Skwala Stonefly
patterns to catch trout on the Yakima River
(or wherever there is a significant Skwala
hatch). This class will emphasize complete
patterns rather than techniques.

Trout Nymph Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
subsurface patterns that are meant to catch
trout in most any water. This class will
emphasize complete patterns rather than
techniques.

Trout Dry Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
surface patterns to catch trout in local
waters during different times of year. This
class will emphasize complete patterns
rather than techniques.

Trout Streamer Class:
In this class students can expect to learn to tie both large and small
streamer patterns, to target large, and
trophy sized trout in local waters. This
class will emphasize complete patterns
rather than techniques.

Rocky Ford Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
patterns tailored specifically towards
catching the picky spring creek trout
located at Rocky Ford. This class will offer
both patterns and techniques to prepare
anglers for the hardships and opportunities
to be had at Rocky Ford.

Deer Hair Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
several techniques to make better looking
and performing flies that contain deer hair.
Stacking, Spinning and winging will be the
main points of this class but other
techniques may be introduced on top of
these. This class will emphasize technique
rather that tying entire patterns, although
some complete patterns will be made in this
class.

Flats Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
patterns to catch fish on the “Flats of the
Dessert” otherwise known as shallow water
situations where carp and other shallow
water browsers are found. Some saltwater
patterns may be tied if time or class
interest dictates. This class will emphasize
patterns rather than techniques.

Sea Run Cutthroat Class:
In this class students can expect to learn patterns to catch Sea-Run
Cutthroat trout in the Puget Sound and other
saltwater bodies. This class will offer both
fishing technique information including
places to get started and patterns that are
known winner when it comes to catching these
sea-run trout.

Salmon Class:
In this class students can expect to learn
fishing techniques and patterns that are
successful in catch all 5 different kinds of
pacific salmon in both salt and freshwater
situations. Coho (silver) and Pink (humpy)
salmon patterns will be emphasized in this
class due to their ability to be caught in
both fresh and saltwater situations by the
fly angler.
